As a nonprofit organization, part of your mission is to generate the greatest positive impact possible on our community – no matter what your cause. To help you achieve that goal, we offer a service to nonprofits to participate in the Greater Houston Community Foundation's investment program. By opening a PIPA account, you will gain access to a time-tested institutional investment process that includes diversification opportunities, a risk-mitigated portfolio and oversight by a committee made up of some of the finest institutional investment management minds in the city. DonorHouston

There are thousands of nonprofits in the Greater Houston area. To help donors narrow down their focus and learn more about the nonprofit world, the Greater Houston Community Foundation houses DonorHouston.org, a database of more than 600 nonprofits in the Greater Houston area.

DonorHouston is a free, comprehensive online resource designed to make the connection between funders, donors and nonprofits easier, more strategic and user-friendly. The DonorHouston system is comprised of more than 100 indicators and data fields focused on four categories of information: general information, management and governance, financial history and program performance. DonorHouston provides valid, objective data about local nonprofits and is available any hour of the day or night. It helps funders and donors become more effective philanthropists by connecting nonprofit organizations with their specific areas of philanthropic interest.
 
Exposure to Donors: Eighty percent of GHCF Donors perform grantmaking via our online granting system, Donor Xpress. With the integration of DonorHouston with this granting system, your organization has an opportunity to be highlighted on our donors' log in pages. Features include:
  • Ability to upload a video
  • Ability to reset your login immediately
  • Ability to upload a logo
  • Ability to upload CEO's picture
  • Metrics displaying how many "hits" your profile has received, as well as how much GHCF donors have given to your organization.
Online Billboard participation: All updated profiles will randomly rotate on the main page of our donor log in pages based on donors' giving interests, giving you "spotlight" access and allowing donors to directly link to your profile, watch your uploaded video or email your CEO directly.
