Eligibility
- Applicant is a resident of Texas and is a current high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior
- Must demonstrate financial need and a history of community service
- Things of interest (member of recognized minority; first in family to go to college or university; veterans with active service, particularly service in Iraq or Afghanistan or similar areas)
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75
Award Details
- Two scholarships will be awarded in 2012
- The award amounts are $1,500 for a 2-year college and $2,500 for a 4-year university
- Awards are one-time, non-renewable awards for full-time study at any accredited 2- or 4- year publicly funded university or college
- Recipients may reapply each year as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements
