Jo Ann Reynolds Skaret Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to an eligible student at William Marsh Rice University. The award may be used for books, fees, tuition or housing. The scholarship is awarded for one year and students can apply every year that they are eligible. All scholarships are awarded on an objective and non-discriminatory basis

Important Facts:
  • Scholarship awards will be announced to recipients by June 1
  • Applications are available online from the Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHCF) website: www.ghcf.org. 
Eligibility
  • Is currently enrolled as a student of William Marsh Rice University
  • Has maintained a grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale in the two most recent college semesters
  • Is enrolled full time taking a minimum of 9 semester hours each semester
  • Is an active member of a regularly established Episcopal church
  • Demonstrates the potential to make a worthy contribution to the community

  • Completed Scholarship Application signed by Applicant
  • Original transcript from Rice University
  • Two letters of reference
  • Typed one page essay
