River Oaks Country Club Scholarship

The River Oaks Country Club Scholarship was established through the generosity of its members, who appreciate the dedication of the employees. All scholarships are awarded on an objective and non-discriminatory basis.

INSTRUCTIONS

Eligibility
  • Is an employee, child/grandchild of a current employee or a child/grandchild of the spouse of a current employee of River Oaks Country Club
  • Current employee is defined as full-time or part-time (with a minimum of 500 hours in the previous 12 months)
  • Child or grandchild of the employee or the spouse of an employee must be:
    • a graduating high school senior or equivalent
    • a previous graduate from a public or private high school
  • Has maintained a grade point average of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 scale on high school studies or two most recent college semesters
  • Plans on enrolling, or is enrolled in any accredited college, university or trade school as a full-time or part-time student for a minimum of six hours per semester
  • Demonstrates the potential to make a worthy contribution to the community and has excellent moral character
The scholarship is awarded for one year, and may be renewed subject to availability of funds, provided the recipient:
1. Maintains a 2.0 GPA (in most recent two semesters)
2. Completes at least 6 credit hours per semester
3. Submits a one page essay on a pre-determined topic
4. Complies with the information requirements of the scholarship program
5. Completes renewal form and submits all necessary paperwork by the posted due dates
