INSTRUCTIONS AND APPLICATION

The Ashlyn Shoemaker Memorial Scholarship is in memory of Ashlyn Leigh Shoemaker and is an effort to help others reach their full potential in life.The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Ball High School’s Class of 2008, Ashlyn’s graduating class.The award will be in the amount of $5,000 and will be paid in yearly increments of $1,250 if criteria is met and maintained.The scholarship award may be used to cover fees, tuition, books, room and board, meal tickets and other fees.

Important Facts

• Application deadline:March 15, 2008
• Scholarship award will be announced by: May 31, 2008
• Scholarship award in the amount of $5,000 to be awarded in increments of $1,250 over a 4 year period if criteria is met and maintained

Eligibility

• Has maintained a grade point average of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in high school studies.
• Plans on enrolling in any accredited 4 year college or university as a full time student (12 hours).
• Class of 2008 graduating Senior at Ball High School in Galveston Texas
